Johannesburg Classic Riders was founded in May 2018. The South African community is based in the largest city of the country and has an exponentially growing number of members. The group meets regularly during weekends for local rides but also early in the morning for the Early Rides
The JCR community is led by our friends Suran.
Monday to Friday I do a suit and tie as Group Managing Director at Ariston Global taking care of employees and clients. Sunday mornings however are about me and my bike.
A long ride, friends and a chat over breakfast. Since my first ride as a 5 year old on the back of a Honda CB750 four K, I was hooked. I remember it like yesterday. Since then, I’ve owned a Honda CB750, a Suzuki GSXR1000 and I now enjoy a BMW R Nine T.
South Africa has an amazing motorcycle scene. Whether you are into Superbikes, Motorcross, Cruisers, Enduros or the Old School scene, there’s something for everyone. Similar to what’s happening globally theres a massive growth in the Classic Motorcycle scene. Riders are spoilt for choice with either refurbed classics or retro styled bikes from Triumph or BMW
