Below a short Bio of David:
Album covers for bands like Blink-182’ Enema Of The State, portraits of subjects like Anderson Cooper, working overseas for UN Women or my current long-term project The Motorcycle Portraits it’s the “human connection” that I’m striving toward as a portrait photographer.
It’s that moment when the subject and myself can connect in a way that transcends our backgrounds, education, station, culture and religion. It’s a moment when we are sharing an intimate and vulnerable moment. It does not always happen but when it does I know that the viewer of the image wherever in the world they see it will feel some kind of connection to the subject.
I consider it an honor when someone allows me to photograph them. I know how uncomfortable a subject can be when sitting for a portrait.
