This month, Dominique Dutronc, founder of the Classic Riders movement, is sharing his experience in riding in the dunes with a dirt bike.
Spending 2 weeks in Dubai to escape Paris and get some fresh air, one of his bucket list dream was to ride in the dunes. Recommended by the Dubai Classic Riders, Dom booked his ride at Motozone, probably the best place in the Emirates for this type of experience.
"When the owner told me that Lewis Hamilton was on my bike a week ago for the same trip, I knew I was at the right place" Dom said.
He went for a 4 hours trip. The bike was a 2021 KTM SX-F 450, a real beast !
Riding on dunes is very special, it takes at least a good 30 minutes to get used to it. After a while it gets very interesting. You don't need to be an expert to have fun. 4 hours is very long, your arms and legs will feel it but what a trip !
